A bag collection starts with its intended use
The requirements for a handbag, a laptop bag and a weekender are different. Begin with how the bag will be used, what it needs to carry and how it should sit within your collection. We can adapt an existing model or develop a sample from your own design.
Adnan Lederwaren makes leather bags under your brand in our family's own SA8000-certified production facility in India. Your account manager in the Netherlands coordinates the project from brief to delivery.

Women's bags

Men's and business bags

Develop an existing model or bring your own design
An existing model gives you a product to reference when discussing proportions, compartments, hardware and materials. It can be adapted in size and interior layout, with your own leather, colour, lining, logo and labels.
For an original design, send a sketch, tech pack or reference photo. Our OEM production process takes that brief through sampling before the bulk order is approved. If the collection is confidential, we are happy to sign your NDA first.
Specify the details that affect the finished bag
- Size, shape and the intended contents.
- Interior layout, pockets and compartments.
- Leather type, colour and lining.
- Zips, buckles and other metal fittings.
- Logo method, size and placement.
- Labels and packaging.
For a laptop or business bag, include the device dimensions rather than relying only on a screen-size description. For a retail collection, list each model and colourway separately. These details make the enquiry more useful before a sample is developed.
Leather choices
We mainly work with cowhide, with goat and buffalo leather also available. Crazy horse and oil pull-up leather can be used for a vintage-style appearance. Vegetable-tanned and LWG-certified leather are available on request.
Discuss the desired look and feel together with the construction. A leather choice should be considered as part of the particular bag, including its lining and hardware, rather than selected from a name alone.
For an animal-free collection, our vegan leather bags have a separate minimum of 250 pieces per model and colour. Vegan materials are available for bags only.
Your brand, inside and out
Logo options include heat-stamping, debossing, embossing and a metal plate. You can specify your own labels and lining, colours using Pantone references, and custom packaging.
Bring the branding requirements into the sample brief. That allows the model, material, hardware and logo treatment to be reviewed as one product before the order moves into production.

If you want several colourways, give the quantity for each. Your approved sample becomes the reference for production and repeat orders.
Quality checks before dispatch
Every order is checked on incoming leather, after cutting, during production and at final inspection before dispatch. Independent inspection, for example by SGS, is welcome. Our quality and certifications information explains our production standards.

Can you adapt one of your existing bag models?
Yes. You can change the size, interior layout, hardware, leather and colour of an existing model, and add your own logo and labels.
Do you make bags in vintage-style leather?
Yes. We work with crazy horse and oil pull-up leather, which develop a natural vintage look over time.
Can we order the same bag in several colours?
Yes. The minimum applies separately to each model and colour: 50 pieces for real-leather bags and 250 pieces for vegan bags.
How many bags can you produce per month?
Our capacity is up to 40,000 bags per month, so we can handle both first orders and large repeat programmes.
